How to use the Network for Democracy

We are building a network for democracy and we need your help.

How it works

The way all this works is fairly simple. 1.We, the voters, decide what matters, not the media or inside-the-beltway power brokers. 2. We tell our representatives what we want them to do. 3. We watch them. 4. If they represent us, we re-elect them. If they do not, we fire them.

Your Part

X-voter.com is funded solely by its members. We take no contributions from, or sell advertisement to, political parties, non-media companies, associations, or other groups.

Registering and becoming a member of X-voter.com costs only $24.95 per year . And we will never ask you to contribute more money. You must pay for your membership with a credit card. This is the only way for us to verify your identity and location.

While anyone can view all public information on X-voter.com, only registered members can:

  • Vote on current referendum issues, and have the results of their voting mailed to their elected representatives. Sample ballot page
  • Choose future referendum issues.
  • Participate in the X-voter Forum discussions between members, and
  • Organize or participate in local and state network nodes. (see The Future below)

The Future
Right now the X-voter network deals with our representatives at the national level. And frankly that’s about all we can cover with the manpower we have. But we are building the infrastructure to take this concept down to the state and local level of government. The catch is we need volunteers to provide the people-power to make it work at those levels. We will provide the Internet infrastructure to members at no charge. It will be up to you to provide the time and resources to make it work. We will start rolling this out in the fourth quarter of ’04. If you are interested in creating a state or local node of the network for your area contact us and well get in touch with you shortly on how you can make it work. The more we take part in all levels of government the better government we get for all of us.
